Although many Pittsford residents plan to remain in their homes as they age, there is often a serious mismatch between our desire to "age in place" and our ability to do so. This class will share information on how to realistically determine if remaining at home is a viable option and discuss the pros and cons of doing so. Information will be shared on community services that can help an elder remain safely and comfortably at home. The facilitator for this class is Marsha Raines, LMSW, C-ASWC, a licensed Geriatric Social Worker with 28 years of experience working with care giving families and older adults.
