110223 - Active Art!
Beat the winter blues with art projects that not only turn out masterpieces but are fun to do every easy step of the way! In this video series that you can access as much as you like, you will be jumping, pounding, dipping and dabbing art materials to create great colors and textures! Art is a great start for little engineers, scientists, designers and all creative thinkers! A list of any necessary materials will be given upon registration. Projects are not difficult in nature and are meant to engage children ages 2-7. SIX different projects to follow along with. Session also includes the teacher’s personalized video for your special artist and a slideshow, “Gallery of Masterpieces” that displays the growing body of accomplishments of the Active Art class! One registration covers the whole household!

110327 - Martial Arts For Youth
All of us at Creighton Martial Arts focus on the health and safety of all of our students and families as our highest priority. To achieve this goal, we must make changes based on the new challenges that we are currently facing. All of our classes will require social distancing, masks and temperature checks before the classes begin. We will be making modifications to our curriculum to adapt to the current challenges that COVID has presented to us. All classes will have minimal contact to comply with NYS requirements.
Sections 01-03: This class is designed strictly for new students and current white belts. We will focus on character building, leadership skills, goal setting and constant and never-ending improvement. This means that in addition to learning traditional techniques of the martial arts, children are also taught the importance of respect, self-confidence, self-esteem and anger management. We strive to provide each student with a positive image on how they behave in the dojo (training hall), home, and school. The introduction program is designed to prepare each student for their yellow belt training, so that they can further their martial arts training in our year-round colored belts program. Sections 04-09 [COLORED BELTS ONLY]: This advanced martial arts for kids program is a continuation of training after completion of Level I introduction to the martial arts for children program. Students signing up for this program must have already achieved their yellow belt in Goshin Jutsu. After building a basic foundation of the martial arts in the introduction program, students in the advanced program are seeking to further their training by learning different colored belt requirements within the curriculum. The main emphasis in this program is to focus on the concept of "constant and never-ending improvement". Children will learn concepts such as absorption, displacement, measurement, cause and effect, sensory and tactile awareness, solid, liquid, suspension, drainage, conservation, volume, mass, saturation, estimation, and the learning goes on and on.

110515 - Musical Theatre Workshop
**All programs will meet in-person**
Join us for a fun and exciting musical theatre experience! The workshops below are, inspired by some of today’s biggest hit musicals from stage and screen. Cast members will learn songs and dances based on the show along with technique for acting, singing and dance. The workshops are open to all experience levels. Cast members will also make new friends and learn the value of team-work. Tuition covers costume rental, show shirt and cast party. There will be an online presentation and watch party for each workshop. A link will also be sent to each family for a keepsake!
*We added Wednesday afternoons to allow for more flexibility. Cast members are more than welcome to attend both days but are not required to. Feel free to stay the entire time on Wednesday or drop in for whatever works best for you.

110518 - Beauty & the Beast Camp
School is out, fun is in! Send your kids to a theatre workshop that included instruction in acting, singing, dance, performance & more. Young actors will spend the week working on and recording their musical in front of a green screen wearing full costumes, using props, set pieces and make up! Every child will shine when we release the online presentation the following Friday in a watch party. It’s a great show for friends and family to celebrate what the students have learned throughout the week. Students will need a packed lunch, filled water bottle, and 2 snacks each day. Students should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that permit movement for dancing. ALL experience levels welcome and everyone will receive a part.

Basics I: Enhance your brain! No matter your age, learning a new language like Spanish, is an important opportunity to enhance your life. Studies show that learning a new language and having new linguistic skills builds bigger, smarter and stronger brains. Classes are taught by an experienced native Spanish-speaking teacher in a very kind environment. You will learn new vocabulary and introduction to basic Spanish.
Basics II: Enhance your brain! Make it stronger! In this slightly more advanced program you will learn new basic Spanish, with new vocabulary, parts of speech, grammar, and present tense. Completion of the Basics I program is recommended.
Basics III: Keep enhancing your brain with a native Spanish speaker! This program allows you to build on your basic knowledge of the language, more grammar, and learn Spanish verb tenses. Completion of Learn Spanish: Basics II is required.

Introduce your baby to the ice! For itty bitty “Learn to Skaters” Baby Blades Ice Skating! The “Baby Blades” program is designed to get young children excited about being on the ice! Introduce your child to skating in a fun way! Kids get a chance to play on the ice and much more. An additional fee of $17.25 per child for U.S. Figure Skating must be paid at your first class, prior to skating. Sunday classes are divided into two, 25-minute sessions, with additional program opportunities and lessons to supplement Baby Blades Ice Skating.

111208 - Jump, Spin, & Spiral
Do you know how to skate? Looking for something fun? Jump, Spin and Spiral is a fun figure skating class designed to get students learning jumps and spins at an accelerated pace. Students will learn how to center a spin and increase rotation speed. For jumps, skaters will learn proper preparation, take-off positions, and landings. Skaters will have 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice time. All levels of skaters are welcome from beginner to advanced. The class follows the United States Figure Skating curriculum for jumps and spins. Students will need to bring their own figure skates. The Genesee Figure Skating Club will be skating at Bill Gray’s Iceplex this year located at 2700 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd.

111315 - American Girl Doll Adventures
Creative classes for kids to make custom accessories for their dolls. (Any doll 18" or smaller is welcome.) Please bring a sharp pair of scissors to class.
Winter Fun (-01): Bring your 18" doll and your imagination! We will work together to make a hat, mittens, poncho, skis and a snowman for our dolls.
Comfy Couch (-02): We will up-cycle wood, fabric, and cotton to create a cute and comfortable place for the dolls to sit. Please bring sharp scissors, and a piece of fabric (solid or small print) at least 30" x 40". This is a detailed craft that takes a lot of cutting and hot glue, but it results in a custom, sturdy, affordable piece of furniture.
Dining Dolls (-03): We'll make our dolls a dining room table, including place settings, drinks, candlesticks, salt and pepper shakers, a napkin holder, and a centerpiece to stage the perfect meal.

111401 - The After School Program
Are you in need of a recreational after school program for your child to attend once the school day has ended? The After School Program provides a quality, fun and safe recreational environment for your child, grades K-5. Participants will be placed into groups according to age and/or grade level. Activities include arts and crafts, free play, quiet time and playtime in our gym or outside on our playground. A daily snack is provided. Payment for this program will be monthly. The program is closed on school breaks and holidays, however it is open on school scheduled half days. Fun Camps and Fun Camp Days are available for children to attend on school breaks and holidays (registration and additional fees are required). 111405 - ARC Babysitter's Training
This course is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Each student will receive an American Red Cross Babysitter’s Kit and a certificate stating they successfully completed the program. Students are required to provide an email address that certificates can be sent to. Please bring a brown bag lunch. Participants can purchase a fully equipped first aid kit for babysitters $15 at class time.

This program equips children ages 8-12 with the knowledge about home alone safety and accident prevention. Participants will learn how to answer the phone and front door safely, basic first aid, become aware of potential household hazards and much more. Participants will go home with a house rules sheet to complete with their family. Participants will role play stranger-danger scenarios to learn how to stay safe. The program will end with a 15 minute question and answer period to ensure each child leaves knowing what to do to stay safe!
