    110515 - Disney's the Lion King

    Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now the African savannah comes to life with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
    Cast members will also make new friends and learn the value of team-work. The program will culminate in a full stage production. Tuition covers costume rental, sets, props, show shirt and cast party.
    Additional rehearsals: Wednesdays- 3/11-4/1, 5:30-7:30p
    Production week rehearsals: 4/13 & 4/15

    110516 - The Wizard of Oz

    This classic movie musical, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home has been entertaining audiences for generations. When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help. Cast members will also make new friends and learn the value of team-work.     110517 - Winter Theatre Camp

    This camp week will end Friday afternoon in a showcase, where your child will shine! It's a great show for friends and family to celebrate what the students have learned throughout the week. Students will need a packed lunch, filled water bottle, and 2 snacks each day. Students MUST wear closed toe shoes. Students should wear comfortable clothing that permits movement for dancing.

    The Perinton Community Center is located at 1350 Turk Hill Road in Fairport.

    110904 - SAT Prep

    This course offers students an opportunity to prepare for the SAT exam and learn more about the content and format from professional educators. This course is designed to teach high school students - typically juniors and seniors — the necessary skills to be prepared for the March 14 SAT exam. This course is taught classroom style by Mendon & Sutherland High School teachers, Kelli Loucks & Paige LaBarr, and provides a comprehensive overview of the SAT exam. The course also presents critical test taking strategies to help ensure success. Students will engage in both English and Math lessons each day; there will also be a built-in break between lessons.

    110952 - Learn A New Language: Spanish

    Basics I: Enhance your brain! No matter your age, learning a new language like Spanish, is an important opportunity to enhance your life. Studies show that learning a new language and having new linguistic skills builds bigger, smarter and stronger brains. Classes are taught by an experienced native Spanish-speaking teacher in a very kind environment. You will learn new vocabulary and introduction to basic Spanish.

    Basics II: Enhance your brain! In this slightly more advanced program you will learn new basic Spanish, with new vocabulary, parts of speech, grammar, and present tense. Completion of the Basics I program is recommended, but is not required.

    Basics III: Keep enhancing your brain! This program allows you to build on your basic knowledge of the language and learn Spanish verb tenses. Completion of Learn Spanish: Basics I and/or Basics II is required.

    111101 - Parent & Tot Swim

    A young child's first aquatic experience should be a pleasurable one guided by the hand of a Mom or Dad. Children will learn games and experience the first steps in learning to swim. Parents will learn how to safely enjoy the water with their small children. Offered in cooperation with the American Red Cross. Please bring a swimsuit and a towel.

    Barker Rd Middle School's pool parking lot is located off West Bloomfield Rd in Pittsford. Pool doors are located off the back of the building and back parking lot.
