Introduce your baby to the ice! For itty bitty “Learn to Skaters” Baby Blades Ice Skating! The “Baby Blades” program is designed to get young children excited about being on the ice! Introduce your child to skating in a fun way! Kids get a chance to play on the ice and much more. An additional fee of $17.25 per child for U.S. Figure Skating must be paid at your first class, prior to skating. Sunday classes are divided into two, 25-minute sessions, with additional program opportunities and lessons to supplement Baby Blades Ice Skating.

111208 - Jump, Spin, & Spiral
Do you know how to skate? Looking for something fun? Jump, Spin and Spiral is a fun figure skating class designed to get students learning jumps and spins at an accelerated pace. Students will learn how to center a spin and increase rotation speed. For jumps, skaters will learn proper preparation, take-off positions, and landings. Skaters will have 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice time. All levels of skaters are welcome from beginner to advanced. The class follows the United States Figure Skating curriculum for jumps and spins. Students will need to bring their own figure skates. The Genesee Figure Skating Club will be skating at Bill Gray’s Iceplex this year located at 2700 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd.

This concentrated tennis program for beginner/advanced players is committed to the development of junior tennis. Classes are designed so that each player receives individual attention, based on his or her natural style. Each student is encouraged to reach his/her greatest potential by experiencing competitive drills designed to teach students to react instinctively to the ball. A Horse’s Friend’s Horsemanship program introduces children to the world of horses. Participants will learn how to completely care for the horses, while learning that safety is always the most important thing. The program teaches participants how to clean stalls, feed, groom, walk, and ride horses. This is a Western Program. Participants will be taught the parts of Western tack, including the proper way to tack a horse. Children should bring a water bottle and lunch each day.

This class offers gymnastics lessons for your private pod of friends. Whether signing up with friends or individually you can take heart that this private class is limited to FIVE or less children at a time. Students will be taught by Coach Mary, safety-certified by USA Gymnastics. Skills will be introduced at each child’s developmental level. Gymnastics is great for whole body strength, balance and coordination, offering cross-over fundamentals for many sports! These rare times have created a wonderfully rare class opportunity! All equipment is cleaned before and after use. Masks are required.

Although pickleball appears similar to tennis, it is played on a smaller court with a plastic ball. Many find pickleball easier to play than tennis. 141203 - FIT Kids: Fencers in Training
Come play pirate and other fun games in this safe introduction to the sport of fencing. Start with warm up, obstacle courses, and skill building activities to develop focus, agility, balance and eye/hand coordination. Children experience the thrill of sword play in the context of a structured class and build self-confidence using specialized plastic foils, chest plates, and masks. Geared for the short attention span of little ones. Sneakers required.

With convenient times and locations, Empire Tennis has several options for junior & adult players. Headquartered out of the Harley School, Empire Tennis Academy strives to help you improve your game, gain confidence, stay fit, and foster long lasting friendships and bonds with other fellow players.
Jason Speirs, Director of Empire Tennis Academy, will coordinate the program and his staff will be teaching it. This tennis program is for Entry Level players only – those who have either never played before or have very minimal experience. Groups are separated by age and the goal of the program will be to teach basic strokes and use drills and games that will show tennis can be a lot of fun to play. Come join us and have fun while you learn the sport of tennis!
