    Junior Kidz Program (01): STEAM education starts early at Snapology Junior’s Club with our "Preschool Learn and Play" program! Our team of certified teachers will guide children through learning shapes, colors, letters, numbers, patterns, and measurement through building with DUPLO bricks and other hands-on building tools. Plus, kids will learn an introduction to science and engineering as they build! This weekly program encourages social interaction, creativity, and confidence, while helping prepare little ones for school.

    Junior Creators Club (02): Come watch your child and be amazed with what they create in this class. Preschoolers and Kindergarteners can participate in various creative play activities designed to promote the creative, social and expressive skills of children. You’ll be amazed at the improvement you'll see in your child's fine motor skills after just a few visits to Snapology.

    STEAM Snapology Program (03): Let's make new friends and have fun during Snapology's weekly STEAM Club! Learn to make LEGO art projects, build and code robotic animals to move, think like an architect while designing blueprints for a house, and even engineer an amusement park. STEAM concepts like engineering, science and technology will be front and center in this class, all while allowing the kids to show off their creative side. See you at our STEAM Club!

    Real World Robotics (04): In Snapology's Real World Robotics class, students interested in technology will create robotic models inspired by real life robotic technologies. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build alarm devices, earthquake detectors, robotic arms, and much more. Your child will have a blast exploring the world of robotic technologies as they build, learn, and play.

    Creature Creator Robotics (05): In Snapology's Creature Creator Robotics class, your animal lover will create their own animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build insects, dolphins, gorillas, and much more. Your child is sure to have a wild time as they build, learn, and play.

    111315 - American Girl Doll Club

    Creative classes for kids to make custom accessories for their dolls. (Any doll 18" or smaller is welcome.) Please bring a sharp pair of scissors to class.

    Winter Fun: Bring your 18" doll and your imagination! We will work together to make a hat, mittens, poncho, skis and a snowman for our dolls.

    Comfy Couch: We will up-cycle wood, fabric, and cotton to create a cute and comfortable place for the dolls to sit. Please bring sharp scissors, and a piece of fabric (solid or small print) at least 30" x 40". This is a detailed craft that takes a lot of cutting and hot glue, but it results in a custom, sturdy, affordable piece of furniture.

    Dining Dolls: We'll make our dolls a dining room table, including place settings, drinks, candlesticks, salt and pepper shakers, a napkin holder, and a centerpiece to stage the perfect meal.

    111401 - The After School Program

    Are you in need of a recreational after school program for your child to attend once the school day has ended? The After School Program provides a quality, fun and safe recreational environment for your child, ages 5-13. Participants will be placed into groups according to age and/or grade level. Activities include arts and crafts, free play, quiet time and playtime in our gym or outside on our playground. A daily snack is provided. The program is closed on school breaks and holidays, however it is open on school scheduled half days. Fun Camps and Fun Camp Days are available for children to attend on school breaks and holidays (registration and additional fees are required).     Looking for something fun and exciting for your child to do over Presidents Week Recess? Join the Town of Pittsford Recreation Department for a week full of fun science experiments and activities! We will be going to explore the theory of gravity at Altitude on Wednesday, Feb. 19. Please send your child with a lunch and an afternoon snack daily. Please have your child dressed for outdoor weather. Register early as this program does fill quickly.     111405 - ARC Babysitter's Training

    This course is designed to provide youth (Ages 11-15) who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Each student will receive an American Red Cross Babysitter’s Kit and a certificate stating they successfully completed the program. Students are required to provide an email address that certificates can be sent to. Please bring a brown bag lunch.

    This program equips children ages 8-12 with the knowledge about home alone safety and accident prevention. Participants will learn how to answer the phone and front door safely, basic first aid, become aware of potential household hazards and much more. Participants will go home with a house rules sheet to complete with their family. Participants will role play stranger-danger scenarios to learn how to stay safe. The program will end with a 15 minute question and answer period to ensure each child leaves knowing what to do to stay safe!

    Join Mad Science and explore Physics, Earth and Life Science, Chemistry, Technology, and Engineering. With topics ranging from rocketry and magnets to polymers and electricity, kids become aware of the science that is around them every day and realize how COOL it is. We bring science alive! Our hands-on approach and focus on science and engineering practices help to spark imaginations. These workshops for kids ages 5-12 are led by one of our very own Mad Scientists and your children will explore a topic with a mixture of interactive discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments. Each class includes a take home item like a weather station or stereoscopic viewer, to continue the learning at home. Children are left engaged, enthused, and excited about science. Plus, they have a lot of fun doing it!

    In this class, kids get a taste of what it takes to prepare delicious homemade and healthy, from scratch meals and snacks.

    Food, fun and friends is a cooking school for kids ages 9-15 in Pittsford, NY. Boys and girls learn to develop their team building skills while "working" together to create delicious, healthy alternatives to store-bought, pre-packaged, and pre-made items. With just a few ingredients from the fridge/pantry, watch your child's self esteem take flight, as they are encouraged to roll up their sleeves, dig in and learn to create homemade, cost-effective meals and snacks. Kids can't wait to grow up. This is a way to allow them to be independent and resourceful, necessary ingredients for a healthy and delicious life!

    Playful Pets: We will make a fish bowl, a hamster in a cage, a pet bed and food.

    411312 - Snapology!

    Junior Engineers (01): Young students build fun and simple models using DUPLO® blocks. By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Classes include free-building time to promote creativity.

    Kinderbots II (02): Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands, or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs - your child is sure to have a great time! Participation in the first session of this program is not necessary.

    Snapology Scientist (03): Allow your child to cultivate their love of science and experience different domains of science & nature. Students will engage in concepts from astronomy, earth science, biology, chemistry and physics using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools. We make science fun at Snapology!

    Amusement Park Adventures II (04): Design your own amusement park in this super fun program. Learn how to use LEGO bricks and other building materials to make coasters and other awesome rides! Can you design the next Disney World? Participation in the first session of this program is not necessary.

    Combat Robots (05): Do you think you can build the strongest and most agile robot? Can your robot win a head-to-head combat mission? Come learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using LEGO® bricks and then apply that knowledge to build a robot for friendly competition. You'll have a blast as you play robot football and complete the hoop challenge in this fun robotics program.

    Gamebot Robotics II (06): Calling all gamers! Have a blast creating robotic games each week while learning about robotics. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, programming, and pulleys as they create fun to play games. Whether creating pinball machine, duck hunt or a ring toss game, your child is sure to have fun building, learning, and playing. Participation in the first session of this program is not necessary.

    Adventures of Star Wars II (07): If you love Star Wars®, this is the class for you. Come participate in Star Wars® themed activities using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools, build scenes from the movie, build ships, lightsabers, you name it... May the force be with you. Participation in the first session of this program is not necessary.

    Minecraft (08): Travel to the Nether with Snapology, but watch out for those creepers! Come join us as we bring Minecraft® to life using LEGO® bricks. Create your own world, including animals, creepers, and your very own Minecraft® character.

    Lego City Workshop (09): Build your Lego City based on city life, with the models depicting city and emergency services (such as police and fire), airport, train, construction, and civilian services.
